Sewtec began life as the design and development department of the sewing machine manufacturer Singer Corporation.
Now a robotics and automation specialist, the Dewsbury-based company recently appointed a new project director to support its plans to reach £32 million turnover in the next five years.
The company designs and manufactures systems for global blue-chip clients in the food, pharmaceutical, personal care and tobacco industries.
It achieved a record £25m order book and now employs 80 people after undergoing a management buyout last year.
