Surrey-based datacentre firm MTI Europe has appointed a new CEO two months after it was bought by private equity firm Endless.

Scott Haddow has worked with Endless before, having joined Trustmarque Solutions as CEO in 2009 after 15 years in the IT channel with senior roles at New Horizons and Computacenter.

He led the transformation of that business from a local licensing reseller to a national integrated IT services business. Trustmarque was acquired by Capita plc in 2016.

Keith Clark, who has served as president and executive chairman for the last 16 years, will remain at MTI in a senior capacity and support Haddow in delivering a number of transformational projects.

“These are exciting times for MTI. I truly believe that Scott will be able to take MTI to the next level and look forward to supporting him in doing so,” said Clark.

“I am proud of the work of everyone in my team over the last 25 years.

“They have created a strong business which Endless and Scott have rightly identified as a great platform for future organic growth and bolt-ons.”

Haddow said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to be able to build on the work of Keith and his team, many of whom have been with MTI for more than 20 years.

“Endless and management are keen to build a technology group based on great relationships with supply partners, excellent service delivery capability and supporting customers on the journey to secure and hybrid cloud environments.”

Ed Ransome, investment director at Endless, said: “Scott’s appointment is a statement of intent to the market.

“We believe that MTI is in a great position to capitalise on the solid foundations put in place by Keith and his team, and that Scott is the ideal candidate to guide the business through its evolution into a best-in-class service provider.”
