Online electrical products retailer AO World has appointed Jacqueline de Rojas as a non-executive director of the company.
De Rojas has been the president of technology trade association techUK since July 2015 and is also chair of the Digital Leaders board.
She sits as a non-executive director on the boards of engineering business Costain Group and of property website Rightmove, and also services on the government’s Digital Economy Council.
Prior to this, de Rojas held senior executive roles at major tech companies including Sage Group, Citrix Systems, CA Technologies, Novell and McAfee International and was previously a non-executive director at Home Retail Group.
“We are delighted to welcome Jacqueline as a non-executive director,” said AO chairman Geoff Cooper.
“She brings with her a wealth of global experience specifically in fast moving tech businesses and will serve as a great addition to the board.”
AO World, which trades as AO.com, is headquartered in Bolton and trades on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
