Stagedoor, a theatre guide and ticketing platform, has begun a £750,000 fundraising campaign.

Founded by a team of theatre and technology professionals, Stagedoor aims to create a ‘digital home for theatre’ with the ability to book tickets through the app.

Since raising £350,000 in 2018, Stagedoor has experienced four times user growth and seven times revenue growth, and now has a community of more than 40,000 users in London.

The money raised from investors in 2019 will be used to make improvements to the app and expanding the user base to 120,000 people.

The firm is seeking investment partners from both the theatre industry and tech world, as it has also opened the round up to users via the Seedrs crowdfunding platform.

Michael Hadjijoseph, co-Founder and CEO of Stagedoor, said: “It has been a phenomenal 18 months for Stagedoor and we can’t wait to begin the next stage of our growth, as we work towards our goal of making theatre accessible to a new generation.”

Stagedoor has appointed Lazarus Consulting, the boutique advisory firm, to handle the fundraise.
