UK healthcare tech company appoints new finance director

The makers of an AI-led healthcare app has announced the appointment of new finance director Mark Siney.

Siney joined the business from legal services provider Ellis Whitham.

Now Healthcare Group was Founded in 2014 by Lee Dentith.

“Mark has joined us at an opportune time and will play a pivotal role in the financial journey of the business, especially as we explore options around our next stage of investment,” said Lee Dentith, CEO and founder of Now Healthcare Group.

“As a leading digital health company, we are always looking to push boundaries and find innovative ways in which to support the health of the nation and Now Patient has been a game-changer in the marketplace – literally putting healthcare solutions into the hand of our patients”

In 2017 the company received £4m investment from MediCash which it used to create ‘Now Patient’, which it claims is the UK’s first AI-led tele-pharmacy app.

“It is an exhilarating time for the business and I’m looking forward to working with Lee and all the team on the next stage of the growth journey,” said Siney.

The app enables users to access GP consultations and manage their medication needs, (including ordering their repeat prescriptions via mobile technology) – which are dispensed and dispatched from its NHS approved Pharmacy.

Now Healthcare Group became the first provider its field to be found by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the government’s regulatory body for healthcare services, to be providing services that are safe, responsive, effective, well-led and caring.
