Yorkshire tech giant Proactis has promoted its CFO to the CEO position.

Tim Sykes has been with Proactis since 2006 and became its full-time chief financial officer in 2015.

The global spend management and B2B eCommerce company said Sykes will continue to manage the finance function of the group in the interim period alongside his new role.

“This is a period of great opportunity for the group as our team focuses on delivering sustainable organic growth on buy side applications and develops the group’s supply side strategy,” said Sykes.

“I am delighted to accept this opportunity to lead the Proactis team as chief executive officer and I look forward to developing the business for its customers and driving value for its shareholders.”

Proactis, which employs almost 500 staff, has more than 1,000 enterprise clients and three million users in more than 100 countries.
