  • * provide you with our newsletter, magazine, information about our services, event sponsorship opportunities and/or BusinessCloud events if you want it.

Disclosing your information

We may pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we have to enforce our terms and conditions.

If you attend an event, and have given prior consent on the event registration accordingly or shared your business card at the event, your name, email address and company name would be passed to the relevant event sponsor.

We do not sell or pass any personal information to any third party (save for that mentioned in the paragraph above) unless you have given us permission to do so.

How long do we keep your information for?

To make sure we meet our legal data protection and privacy obligations, we only hold on to your information for as long as we actually need it for the purposes we acquired it for in the first place.

In most cases, this means we will keep your information for as long as you continue to subscribe to our newsletter, magazine or attend out events, and for a reasonable period of time afterwards if you stop doing so, to see if we can persuade you to come back to us. After that we will delete it other than where we lawfully can keep any data for audit or legal reasons.

We shall keep data on our event database for not longer than 2 years from the date someone last attended an event subject to an individual’s right to unsubscribe or be forgotten at any time.

To update your marketing preferences or unsubscribe from the magazine, newsletter or events email at any time, please email and quote your name, company details (if relevant) and email address in the body of the email and tell us what you want us to do (i.e. ‘opt-out Email’, or if you have previously objected to receiving information by post for example, but would now like to change your mind and receive the hard copy magazine rather than email newsletter then just specify your preference in the subject header of your email).
